How soon can we get married?

You need to have your Notice of Intended Marriage lodged with your celebrant NO LATER than 1 month prior to the wedding date. This is either completed with them in person or it can be witnessed by an appropriate person and received on email by the celebrant NO LATER than 1 month prior to the ceremony. This is a legal requirement for all weddings in Australia.

Do we get to meet you before booking?

Unfortunately not, to keep the fees as low as they are there is no meeting prior to booking.

What happens after we make a booking?

Once a booking has been made a time to catch up to complete the NOIM will be made and this will most likely be over Zoom. No additional meetings or rehearsals are included in any package so I will next see you on the wedding day where we will sign the final pre-wedding document before the ceremony and then get you married.

What are the payment options?

At the time of booking 50% of the full fee is payable as a booking fee to secure the date - the booking fee is non-refundable. The remaining 50% of the full fee is due 3 months prior to the wedding date. If the booking is placed less than 3 months before the wedding date the full fee is payable at time of booking.

What if we book but then have to cancel?

If the booking needs to be cancelled then the booking fee of 50% is non-refundable and the final balance will not be due. However if the final balance has been paid and the ceremony and all paperwork has been prepared - the celebrant will retain the full fee. If the ceremony and paperwork has not been finalised - a partial amount of the full fee paid will be refunded - at the celebrant's discretion based on work completed.

If there is an option to postpone/reschedule the wedding - any monies paid will be carried over to the new date. NOIM's are valid for 18 months from the date they are lodged with the celebrant. If a new one needs to be completed there will be a fee of $100

How much time is allocated to us on the day?

On the day of the wedding there is 15 minutes for a Legals Only and 30 minutes for ceremonies. This includes the time to sign the pre-wedding document, the ceremony, the signing of the paperwork and for the congratulations. If either party to the marriage arrive late and the wedding cannot take place in the allocated time slot they will need to arrange another time for their wedding.

Can we have music at the ceremony?

You can use the celebrant's PA system for your ceremony music if you are having any, however the microphone is not generally used for less than 20 guests - mainly because it is not required and makes it more personal without it.

Do we need to provide our own table and chairs?

If you have one or are hiring a ceremony package that includes one great - if not I do have a small table and 2 chairs I can provide for the signing of the Marriage Certificate and Register. You need to supply the witnesses through which is 2 people over the age of 18 who understand English.

Can we bring a stylist into Sferas?

Unfortunately not. While the wedding is being held at a functon centre, you can only access the room 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time which does really allow any set up time. You cannot access the room the day before and the room needs to be vacated 1 hour from the ceremony start time. The rooms are beautiful as they are so you really don't need anything extra anyway - but if you do then you can hire an arbour and carpet runner through Sferas and they will set them up for your arrival - how easy is that!

Do we get a private room in the restaurant at Sferas?

If you decide to stay at Sferas to celebrate after the ceremony then this will be in the Paradiso Bar (subject to availability). However unless you hire the whole restaurant then there may be members of the public also dining there.
